On 19th of July 2016, the ambassador, Aghasalim Shukurov met with the Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants, Wafiq Mohammed Rhayme.

In addition to mutual principle, the launch of the Embassy of the Lebanese Republic in Azerbaijan has been discussed in the meeting.

Therefore, the discussions of political relationships and prospects of future cooperation have been made between the friendly and brotherly countries of Azerbaijan and Lebanon. Discussions were made on the topic of ongoing processes in the region and the mutual interest on the other subjects.
